Pay it at Post
Pay it at Post is an innovative payment system designed to provide an attractive payment alternative for those customers who'd like to order your product online but who are reluctant to provide their credit card details over the internet, or don't have one.
Register as a Pay it at Post merchant and customers visiting your website can then simply print details of the goods they have ordered and make payment at any Australia Post outlet. Australia Post collects these payments on your behalf, after which you send the goods to your customer.
Payment Options and Settlement Cash, EFTPOS or credit card can be accepted for customer payments. Cheques, however, are not a valid method of payment. Funds and data relating to payments received will be delivered to your business the next business day following payment. Your business will not be charged for settlement.
How it works
- Your customers buy a product from your website. They choose to pay for the goods at Australia Post and are transferred to the Pay it at Post website.
- Pay it at Post provides them with a payment slip to print out and take to their nearest post office. This transaction advises us that you need a payment collected.
- Your customers are transferred back to your website.
- When your customers arrive at the post office, we take their payment and provide them with an official receipt.
- You can see the details of all payments - pending and paid - on our website at all times, so you can fulfil your customer orders promptly.
- Detailed statements explaining all transactions are available to you directly from our website.
- The value of all payments received on your behalf is paid to you regularly, normally by direct bank transfer.
