Parcel Post Service Options
Insurance Insurance is only available for Parcel Post together with the supplementary services of Cash on Delivery or Registered Post. With these services, insurance cover up to $100 is included in the fee, but further insurance cover up to $5000 can be purchased. Transit cover is also available for eParcel contract customers. This option can provide cover of up to $5000 per article.
Signature on Delivery Signature on delivery is part of the eParcel offering. However, for business customers who are not using eParcel there are two further options - Receipted Delivery or Registered Post. Receipted Delivery - a signature on delivery service that is available to Parcel Post contract (BPA) customers. Registered Post - for business customers who do not have a parcel contract with Post, Registered Post offers a signed record of delivery that is retained by Post for six months. Delivery confirmation, where a Delivery Confirmation Card is returned to you with the signed proof of delivery, is also available as an option with the Registered Post service.
Cash on Delivery With Australia Post's COD service you can opt to have our staff collect either postage and fees, full payment for the goods delivered, or both. This service enables you to fulfil orders and deliver goods to customers who don't have an account with you. COD is easy to use. You simply take your parcel to any Australia Post outlet and complete a lodgement slip. The article will be delivered to the postal outlet closest to your customer's address, who will then be informed that there is a COD item awaiting collection. Australia Post will take delivery of your payment when it is collected, and return any payments to you by money order. This service can only be used with the regular parcels service.
Cash to Collect This service is only available with eParcel. Cash to Collect allows you to send goods to your customers and we collect the payment and transfer it to you electronically.
