Australia Post offers two services when you require a reliable and low cost delivery service overseas for parcels: 

1. Air Mail  - for standard delivery of parcels within 3 to 10 working days.    
2. Sea Mail - the cheapest option for delivery of parcels within 2 to 3 months.  

Is Customs Documentation Required for Parcels?
Yes. Articles that contain anything other than written correspondence OR contain items valued over $500 OR weigh more that 500g require customs documentation.  Written correspondence or documents does not include book or magnetic or optical recording media such as tapes, cassettes, computer disks, compact disks and so on. All customs forms are available at Australia Post outlets.

Dangerous Goods
Dangerous and prohibited goods, together with aviation security, should all be considered when an article is sent overseas.
